Fall Weather and Car Accident Season

Each year, as the sun goes down earlier and the rain and leaves fall, Washington State sees a dramatic uptick in the number of car accidents. Dried oil from the summer months is rained on, creating slick roadways and increased braking distance requirements. Unfortunately, this combined with reduced lighting and vision creates more dangerous driving conditions for Seattle, Tacoma, Puyallup, and the other areas in the state.

We recommend that drivers take extra precautions by allowing increased braking distance in front of them, and that drivers keep a watchful eye on what’s happening behind their vehicle.
